National Assisted Living Week was celebrated September 8th – 14th this year and residents participated in a variety of fun activities related to the theme, ‘A Spark of Creativity.’ They received an exciting visit from an adorable pony from Foggy Bottom Farm, made greeting cards from scratch, and made cute fabric pumpkins as well. The seniors also attended the annual Merrimac Picnic with other ElderSpan-managed residences and took a trip to Oakwood Fruit Farm for some delicious fall items. Lastly, residents enjoyed an early screening of Wisconsin Public Television’s new program, Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Sauk Prairie. Wow – what a wonderful and full month it’s been! Thanks to all who shared their time and talents with us. To view photos, please click on the web album.
