Seniors on The Pines campus had a wonderful November. They welcomed an adorable 9-week-old Shetland Sheep Dog puppy named Hank for a visit, took a number of scenic bus rides, and enjoyed making turkey crafts for Thanksgiving. Special events were also held to commemorate Veterans Day. Each veteran received a boutonniere and special certificates of appreciation from area businesses and Barb Knopf, founder of Veterans Equine Trail Services (VETS), spoke to Pine Glen tenants about her volunteer-run farm that helps veterans heal by working with rescued horses. A heartfelt thank you to our resident veterans and all veterans for their sacrifice and service to our nation. Lastly, resident Charlie Roelke and his granddaughter Ada hunted together toward the end of the month, and both of them got deer! They were excited to come back to The Pines and tell Grandma Verna Roelke all about it. What a great month it was! To view photos, please click on the web album.
