September 8-14 was National Assisted Living Week, which is always lots of fun! Each day had a theme, like Crazy Sock Day, Sports Apparel Day and Hat Day. The Vesperman Farms ice cream truck brought treats for all, and folks took a trip to Ski Hi Fruit Farm for yummy donuts and cider. Each person shared about one of their prized possessions, and it was so special to hear their stories. We tried something new – a Family Game Night – and it was a great success! Later in the month, residents joined other ElderSpan-managed buildings for a picnic and pontoon boat rides at Merrimac Memorial Park. What a fabulous day!
