April started with a visit from Murphy and his sweet human, Kathy. Everyone so enjoys their visits. Folks were also so excited to welcome the 4th grade students from Grand Avenue Elementary School for parachute and balloon games. They’ll be visiting Pines and Pine Villa 2-3 times a month until the end of the school year. What a treat! April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, so staff put on an Appreciation Party as a thank you to these dedicated people. The daughter-in-law of resident Beverly brought in baby chicks, which prompted lots of reminiscing about raising chickens years ago. The Baking Group made some yummy peach cookies, and staff and residents danced the polka during exercise one morning! Toward the end of the month, folks took the bus to the Saint Aloysius Catholic School in Sauk City for the dress rehearsal for Musician’s Night. The music was fantastic and watching the kiddos was delightful! To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
